Arrived in Paris from Poland at the age of 22 in 2014, without any knowledge of French and having grown up in a village far removed from the cultural effervescence of a metropolis, Damian very early on sought to find his way and define his identity as a artist. Having practiced photography as an amateur in his country for a long time, he began to work as a freelance photographer.

In 2020, when he found himself out of work due to the pandemic, he took advantage of the time freed up to browse through his personal archives, which included not only a wealth of photographs, but also the poems he had written since age of 13, in Polish first then in English from 2011, and discovered between his poems and his photos a common thread that had eluded him until then.

This is how GOSSAMER was born, a book that brings together 150 photos and 43 poems that bear witness to his career over the past seven years and express the emotion that the beauty of the male body inspires in him, the austerity of the landscapes of Iceland. , the images of Poland that haunted his childhood, particular moments of his new life in Paris, or scenes of nature that remain imprinted on his retina.

----
