Koji Morooka (1914-1991) is a photographer of the post-war. He mostly took pictures of Tokyo, especially Ginza. In 1936, he entered at ARS & Co., Ltd and became the editor of Camera Club magazine and later the editor of Shashin Bunka magazine in 1941. He won the Award of the Year, Photographic Society of Japan in 1973.

The book "Remembrance of Tokyo" presents Tokyo and its denizens in between 1935 and 1972. Included here are images documenting ordinary citizens, shops and homes, urban landmarks, Imperial processions, panoramas of World War II ruins, war refugees living in underground shelters, urban renewal, the Olympic games and the new skyscrapers and superhighways that reoriented the city's social and physical landscape.

Koji Morooka (1914-1991) est un photographe de l'après-guerre. Il a surtout pris des photos de Tokyo, en particulier de Ginza. En 1936, il entre chez ARS & Co., Ltd et devient rédacteur en chef du magazine Camera Club, puis rédacteur en chef du magazine Shashin Bunka en 1941. Il remporte le prix de l'année de la Photographic Society of Japan en 1973.

Le livre "Remembrance of Tokyo" présente Tokyo et ses habitants entre 1935 et 1972. Sont inclus ici des images documentant des citoyens ordinaires, des magasins et des maisons, des monuments urbains, des processions impériales, des panoramas de ruines de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, des réfugiés de guerre vivant dans des abris souterrains, la rénovation urbaine, les jeux olympiques et les nouveaux gratte-ciel et autoroutes qui ont réorienté le paysage social et physique de la ville.
