LÉO BERNE

Leo Berne est un photographe et réalisateur français né à Aix-En-Provence en 1979.

Ce que cet amoureux du grain argentique affectionne avant tout, c’est le décalage temporel imposé par le développement des pellicules qui retarde l’instant de la (re)découverte des images après celui de la prise de vue. En mélangeant tous types de pellicules, de moments, de lieux, étrangers et familiers, en insérant des fragments de fantaisie dans des morceaux de réel, le photographe joue avec notre perception de son intimité.

Le travail de Leo Berne a été exposé au Palais de Tokyo en 2005, à la Galerie Nobilis Paris en 2010, et à la Galerie &CO119 en 2016, à l'occasion de la sortie de son premier livre de photos For the Aliens.

Leo Berne is a French photographer and filmmaker, born in Aix-En-Provence (France) in 1979.

With a deep attachment to the textured grain of an image on film, he especially appreciates the lapse of time imposed by the processing of film which delays the moment between the recording of an image and the instant of (re)discovery. By combining all kinds of film, moments, places, the foreign and the familiar, by inserting fragments of fantasy into slices of reality, the photographer is playing with our perception of his private life.

Leo Berne’s work has been shown at Palais de Tokyo in 2005, Galerie Nobilis Paris in 2010, and at Galerie &CO119 in 2016, on the occasion of the release of his first photobook For the Aliens.
