Bien plus que simple catalogue, le support du livre photographique a depuis toujours été l’objet de véritables réflexions et expressions artistiques. Il permet de combler, de compléter, de surpasser les limites du tirage ou de tout simplement penser la photographie dans la multiplicité des images et dans leur séquence plutôt que dans l’image unique.
Le livre photographique peut être un véritable parti pris de diffusion d’un opus et se voit aujourd’hui enfin considéré à la hauteur de ce qu’il est : une oeuvre à part entière.
Cette exposition est la troisième que nous organisons autour de la découverte du livre photographique et pour cette nouvelle édition c’est vers le ciel que nous vous emmenons. Le parcours s’articule en trois parties : le ciel, le cosmos et enfin, la vie extraterrestre. Cette sélection est certes incomplète et arbitraire mais elle reflète un petit aperçu des possibilités du livre photo et pour vous partager certains coups de coeur. Le ciel est un prétexte pour nous/vous inspirer, et qui sait, peut-être découvrir de nouveaux horizons ?

Much more than a simple catalogue, the medium of the photographic book has always been the object of genuine reflection and artistic expression. It makes it possible to fill in, complete, surpass the limits of the print or simply to think of photography in the multiplicity of images and in their sequence rather than in the single image.
The photographic book can be a real way of disseminating an opus and is now finally considered for what it is: a work in its own right.
This is the third exhibition we have organised around the discovery of the photographic book and for this new edition we are taking you to the sky. The exhibition is divided into three parts: the sky, the cosmos and finally, extraterrestrial life. This selection is certainly incomplete and arbitrary but it reflects a small glimpse of the possibilities of the photo book and to share with you some of our favourites. The sky is a pretext to inspire us/you, and who knows, maybe discover new horizons?
