Laure Winants

Laure Winants is an artist-researcher based between Paris and Brussels. Her research focuses on the interaction of ecosystems and takes shape in the reaction of materials through the prism of light. She works with sensitive materials and creates reactive works—works that react to their environment: light, time, temperature, humidity. Laure collaborates with transdisciplinary research groups, including the CNRS/CNES/ESA on air pollution in the Pyrenees with Albedo 2021, the volcanology laboratory in Iceland with the monitoring of natural and anthropogenic phenomena with Phenomena 2022, and the Polar Institute on her research on air bubbles with the Time Capsule 2023-2024 project.

His work has entered the collections of several institutions in China, Luxembourg and Antwerp, Belgium.
