Léo Berne

Director of the Megaforce collective, Léo Berne is also a photographer, and above all a lover of film grain. Born in Aix-en-Provence in 1979, Léo is particularly fond of the time lag imposed by film development, which delays the moment of (re)discovery of images after the moment of shooting. By mixing all types of film, moments, and places, both foreign and familiar, while inserting fragments of fantasy into pieces of reality, the photographer plays with our perception of his intimacy.

Taking photos “like a tourist,” Léo collects and sometimes stages moments from his personal life. His main goal is to preserve the memory of a fleeting moment.

Léo's work was exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo in 2005, at the Galerie Nobilis Paris in 2010 and at the Galerie Écho 119 in 2016, on the occasion of the release of his first photo book. For the Aliens .
