Eight years after his last travel photo book, "Short Trip Again," Koji Onaka has once again wandered through the Japanese hinterland, observing it through a 35mm lens.
Produced over a period of seven years, "Have a Break" features scenes taken in Hokkaido in the north, Kyushu in the south, and numerous stations in between. Onaka's predilection for a distinctive, unique color style adds to the deep sense of familiarity and warmth of his images, in which Onaka transforms the everyday sights of small towns and rural areas into curious visual wonders.
