Japanese Tattooing RANSHO is an exploration catalog of the Japanese tattooing . The photographer Masato Sudo, who has always been fascinated by the Japanese tattoo culture and its traditions, created the book of the most captivating graphic creations on people's skins and bodies, the third edition carrying the name RANSHO, published in 2015.
For RANSHO, 2015, Masato Sudo wanted to give a special addition with the photos taken of the model “Venus” and images of “Number-human-letters” formed by 12 models giving it a modern perspective.
This book is dedicated to the people of Ransho who are no longer in this world, but who have chosen each pattern in their bodies painstakingly. Ransho is about a deep respect for a culture that has been passed from one generation to another.
The third edition of 2015 binds together traditional tattoos with a decorative textured cover in navy blue, giving the book and its pages a poetic frame.
