The portfolio's title, "Träumerei," is a well-known piano piece by the German composer Robert Schumann, and a word meaning "dream" or "daydream." As these words suggest, the six works presented here are characterized by a blend of travel memories and intimacy, evoking images that resemble waking dreams. Although the city is the title of the work, the two different images were not necessarily taken there; rather, the title was given to each set of two photographs that Nomura assembled when creating this portfolio.
The portfolio also includes five works from the photographic collection "Tsukiyo" (moonlight night), published in 2023. The photographs, taken on old, damaged film, have a mysterious atmosphere, as if the era in which the film was stored had been captured in the landscape.
