The title of the portfolio "Träumerei" is known as a piano song by the German composer Robert Schumann, and is a word meaning "dream" or "daydreaming." As these words suggest, the six works presented here are characterized by a mixture of travel memories and intimacy, and recall images that resemble waking dreams. Although the city is the title of the work, the two different images were not necessarily taken in that location, but the title was given to each set of two photographs that Nomura collected when creating this portfolio.
The portfolio also includes five works from the photographic collection "Tsukiyo" (Moonlit Night), published in 2023. The photographs, taken on old, damaged film, have a mysterious atmosphere, as if the era in which the film was stored has been captured in the landscape.
