Discussion / Signature - Acedia
Saturday, June 14,
4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.,
We are pleased to welcome Louise Desnos for a conversation about her very first book, Acedia (Witty Books, 2024), which deals with laziness, a theme the photographer became passionate about after reading Ivan Goncharov's novel, Oblomov. Far from criticizing acedia, this book invites us to discover it as a search for freedom and a space for introspection. A project as subtle as it is philosophical!
Louise Desnos, is a French photographer, represented by the Vu' agency. Living in Paris, she travels extensively internationally for the numerous commissions she completes in addition to her personal artistic works, often inspired by cinema or literature.
