A true book-object whose golden cover is revealed by scratching a thin film, this very special work is the fifth publication to be born from the collaboration between Marie Sepchat, founder of The(M) Editions and the photographer. It was therefore unthinkable not to receive them together! See you on June 17 to discover the behind-the-scenes of their collaboration, and the unique prints of this special edition.
Gil Rigoulet is a French photographer who began his career as a photojournalist in the 1970s. He was the first staff photographer for the newspaper Le Monde. Exhibited alongside some of the biggest names in photography, he has been reconnecting with his past as a painter and illustrator for the past 20 years and is now turning to a more artistic, personal, and intimate approach.
Marie Sepchat, Specializing in photography books, the(M) éditions designs works that are "felt," unique objects. The book is designed to trigger a sensation, a pleasure, a reflection or a questioning - to arouse desire through the image first, but also through the material of the book, thanks to formal research serving a delicate plastic universe. An alchemy desired by Marie Sepchat who thinks and shapes a book as a work of art in itself faithful to the original intention of the artist.
