The final chapter of her trilogy is an ode to Osaka's fallen. In this city, the third largest in the country, Chloé Jafé spent a long time exploring the Nishinari district, a neighborhood erased from tourist guides that attracts a population primarily composed of men, most of whom are over 60. There, she met and photographed homeless people, transvestites, retired gangsters, and those dismissed from capitalism who preferred to hide there rather than face the shame of being fired.
These workers no longer have a future on the horizon. Through this work, Chloé Jafé attempts to mend their history and modestly rehabilitate a little-known and muzzled part of Japan.
